What is a combination cable lock?

A combination cable lock is a flexible braided steel cable with a resettable numeric dial built into one end, so it locks to itself or to a fixed anchor point without a key. The DocksLocks combination cable lock ($17.99 to $39.99) differs from a hardware store version in the lock body rather than the cable: ours is sealed and corrosion proof, so it will not seize after a season near salt water. You set the code yourself and can reset it any time, which makes it easy to share across a family or a rental crew.

Choosing your combination cable lock

Choose a coiled combination cable lock or straight combination cable lock in 5 to 25ft lengths, or a compact bike and scooter combination cable lock with mounting bracket. Not sure on length? See our sizing guide. Prefer a key? See our keyed security cables, or step up to a cut proof security chain. All combination locks ship free in the US.
